New SCD Sign Install
I thought it might be fun to document how my SCD sign went up. Just a couple of notes. I found this sign company by searching Local Google and then checking out their work online. They were pretty responsive when contacted, and their pricing seemed fair. But one thing I wasn't thrilled about was that in order for them to give me a price, I had to know how big of a sign I wanted--and they wouldn't do a mockup beforehand until I put down a deposit....So I just went outside, snapped a few pix from head on, and using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I pasted my logo into place, and adjusted for size and placement.
I printed these out and showed my team, and after many important decisions, that determined the final placement, I put down the deposit, and the sign company ended up using my photo and pasting the files I sent to them! I made it all too easy for them.
Their version
The order was submitted on Monday and by Friday was installed--just in time for our Open House.

Looks GREAT Richard!!!
Very meticilous work. Worker even has headphones and tunes going so he can just concentrate on what he's doing and keep it level.
Looks sharp!!!
So in the end, how come you decided to place it underneath the OC sign and not where you originally had it?
Either way, it still AWESOME!!!

Re: New SCD Sign Install
Marketing decision. When a customers car is all finished for OC Rod N Customs, what is the first picture that's taken??? In front of their sign. Where does that picture usually go?? Normally magazine spreads.
So with my URL there, I get free press. You know how much it would cost to get my name inside of a major national magazine??? It also helps the OC guys, for instance like today I got a call from a guy who saw my URL from the freeway and asked if I was with the OC Rod N Customs--and so drive by traffic now has a way of contacting them.

Re: New SCD Sign Install
Sign looks great Richard! Great decision to put it under their logo to gain more exposure. Clever and great use of spatial relationships. Nice job!

Looks great Richard.....when you and I talked about this a week or so ago I didn't realize you were adding the .com to the sign. For all the reasons you've pointed out, it was the perfect move!!
